THE ORIGIN OF OUR SOUND
Chapter 1: The Beginning
Our story is one of evolution, vision, and passion for sound.
Though AXIOM was launched in 2014, its foundations were laid long before, within PROEL, an Italian company established in 1991 by Fabrizio Sorbi in Sant'Omero, a small town nestled in the Abruzzo countryside, between the mountains and the Adriatic Sea.
What began as a bold initiative quickly grew into a global presence. PROEL became a trusted leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of professional audio, video, and lighting solutions, recognized in more than 50 countries.
In 1997, a dedicated Research & Development department was created: the seed from which decades of innovation would grow. This was where ideas took shape, where audio technology was pushed to new limits, and where tradition met experimentation.
During the early 2000s, a group of engineers, sound designers, and live sound professionals – all with real stage experience – came together with one ambitious dream: to build sound systems that were not only technically superior, but capable of amplifying emotions as clearly as they amplified sound.
That dream gave rise to AXIOM.
